Riyadh, Saudi Arabia,, May 4, 2025 / Prnewswire / – The Ministry of Hajj and OMRA underlined the need to obtain an official permit to carry out the Hajj pilgrimage for the 1446 Ah season, noting that it is a fundamental requirement to organize the performance of rituals and maintain the security and safety of pilgrims. This comes within the framework of the implementation of regulations and instructions governing the affairs of the HAJJ, and guaranteeing the facilitation of rituals with ease and tranquility.
The ministry said that the competent authorities will apply the prescribed sanctions against anyone who violates the Hajj’s instructions, including the people taken trying to carry out the Hajj without a license. The offenders will be subject to a fine of up to (20,000) Saudi Riyals. The same fine will also be applied to holders of all types of visit visas if they enter or try to enter Makkah al-Mukarramah or stay there during the period from the 1st of Dhu al-Sdah Until the end of 14 Dhu al-Hijjah.
In addition, the sanctions can reach (100,000) Saudi riyals for those who facilitate visit visas for people who play or try to perform hajj without a license, or for those who transport, house or hide them. Fines will be multiplied according to the number of violent individuals, with the application of procedures, including the expulsion of intrusion residents and a ten-year ban on entry into the kingdom, as well as the confiscation of any land transport vehicle proven to transport holders of all types of visits to the city of Makkah al-Mukarrama and Saintes sites.
The ministry stressed that HAJJ is only authorized with an official permit for domestic pilgrims or a regular Hajj visa for foreigners pilgrims, stressing that all other types of visas do not allow their holders to make the pilgrimage, with the exception of the Hajj visa. He also warned of fraudulent campaigns and promoters of deceptive advertisements, urging everyone to report them immediately through official channels.
