(Photo : Screenshot From Pexels Official Website) Facebook is Testing Out Twitter-Like ‘Threads’ Feature Allowing Users to Publish a Series of Posts

Facebook could be testing out a new Twitter-like feature called “Threads,” which would allow users to post a whole series of connected-posts that might be very text-heavy or to include multi-media files as well.

The new feature is reportedly inspired by the popular Twitter threads feature. It is reportedly within its development stage and might take some time before it rolls out.

    Facebook Twitter-like Feature Called ‘Threads’

According to the story by News18, the development reportedly came from quite a notable social media consultant known as Matt Navara who even shared a screenshot of the new feature.

The screenshot even noted that the new feature would allow users to add yet another post to any of the previous ones they had created in order to make a thread.

It also added that all of the posts in the thread will also have the same audience as the very first post. Originally, the threads on Twitter came out due to the character limit per post, thus this would allow users to convey a longer message through the use of multiple tweets all connected through a “thread.”

    Facebook New Feature Advantages

Facebook, on the other hand, doesn’t really have a character limit per post. The new feature, however, would help users by making sure they don’t need to search for a single post published maybe a month or a year ago.

The new Facebook threads will allow users access to live commentary just as done by a number of publications on Twitter. As mentioned, users will be able to post updates to their own existing posts in a thread instead of updating the original which might lead to the omission of the full information.

    Facebook ‘Bulletin’ Platform

Meanwhile, the social media platform also launched a brand new newsletter production they called “Bulletin” last week. This is going to be a standalone platform that is for both free hand paid articles and podcasts which is aimed to go against Substack.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg gave an announcement on the platform at Bulletin.com while also introducing a number of writers that the company has recruited in a new live audio room on Facebook. Facebook is now also pushing to compete in the whole fast-growing email newsletter trend.

Matt Navara Leaks New Facebook Feature

The platform as well as its popular services, which include Messenger and Instagram, were facing some sort of outage last night. The services, however, are now finally restored.

The release date of the new Facebook “Threads” feature is still unknown as of the moment. If the feature will be rolling out soon, users can expect an official announcement by Facebook. As of the moment, what users have are screenshots coming from Matt Navara.
