ESG Excellence Awards 2022/2023 (Awards) The ceremonial luncheon took place today at the JW Marriott Hotel in Hong Kong. The awards celebrate the outstanding contribution of 59 winning organizations to promoting sustainable development, exercising social responsibilities and achieving excellence in corporate governance across 9 award categories.
ESG Excellence Awards has gained public recognition over the past two years, with strong participation from companies and organizations from a wide range of disciplines and sizes, covering listed companies, unlisted companies and non-governmental/non-governmental organisations. profit motive. Mr. Joseph Chan JP, Under-Secretary for Financial Services and Treasury, Hong Kong SAR Government shared in his welcome speech: “Hong Kong, with its open and internationalized market, robust infrastructure, regulatory regime aligned with major overseas markets, rule of law and rich professional talent pool, not only has the potential , but also the responsibility to lead the region in green finance. As an international financial center, Hong Kong already leads in various rankings in the region, including arrangement of Asian international bonds, insurance density, scale of asset management activities and assets, as well as liquidity pools and offshore RMB payments. Therefore, Hong Kong is well-positioned to become Asia’s leading green finance center.
