Elon Musk tweeted updates of what to expect from the upcoming Tesla Cybertruck, confirming that the vehicle is getting rear-wheel steering.

Meanwhile, he also mentioned how the Cybertruck update will acutally look, and addressed if there will be any changes.
According to Electrek, the Cybertruck is officially slated to start production later this year. And even before it begins, Musk could not stop talking about what comes next to the electric truck.
To be precise, the Tesla CEO previously revealed that the Cybertruck is getting a new suspension system, which is best used in the Baja off-road Motorsport.
Tesla Cyber Truck Rear Wheel Steering
On July 2, the CEO revealed that the next Tesla Cybertruck will sport rear-wheel steering, which is noticeably similar to what the GMC Hummer EV also featured.
Musk said that the Cybertruck is “adding rear steering, so it can do tight turns and maneuver with high agility.”
According to Car and Driver, one of the features that the GMC Hummer unveiled was the “crab mode,” steering four wheels in a direction that the driver wants. It will allow the truck to move the vehicles sideways in off-road terrains.
Well, it sounds completely the same as what Cybertruck plans to show off in the future.
Meanwhile, Rivian R1T also has a steering feature meant for the rocky roads called the “tank turn,” which spins the vehicle into circles.
Tesla Cybertruck vs. GMC Hummer EV
Additionally, MotorBiscuit said that the “crab mode” function is one of the features that make the Hummer EV more superior than the Cybertruck.
The charge time and horsepower are other factors that make the Tesla trucks weaker than their GMC counterpart. The Cybertruck could only achieve 690hp, whereas the Hummer EV makes 1,000hp.
It is to note that both trucks rival the Tesla Cybertruck. So, based on Musk’s latest pronouncements on Twitter, his vehicle is getting the impressive feature of the Hummer EV, along with “other great things.”

Smaller Tesla Cybertruck?
When Elon Musk let go of the plan to produce a smaller Cybertruck, he noted that the automaker will instead go for a separate vehicle meant for the global market in the future.
However, that vision has yet to come to fruition.
Now, the Tesla boss spoke about how the Cybertruck update will look once it hits production. He said that the future look of the vehicle will remain unchanged from what was already bared to the public.
Friday afternoons are usually Tesla design studio time. Cybertruck will be almost exactly what was shown. We’re adding rear wheel steering, so it can do tight turns & maneuver with high agility.

So, the answer is no. We are not likely getting a different-sized Cybertruck as Tesla is entirely sticking to what they have already unveiled, at least for now.
As of May 25, the Tesla Cybertruck have recieved about 1 million reservations.
