The international declaration of women’s day by education cannot wait Yasmine Sherif
NEW YORK,, March 8, 2025 / Prnewswire / – On International Women’s DayEducation cannot wait for partners around the world to call for human rights and the empowerment of women and girls around the world.

Empowerment begins with an education. Around the world, women still represent almost two thirds of all adults unable to read, according to Unesco. The challenge becomes even more serious on the fronts of armed conflicts, climate change and forced displacement, where around 234 million children in crisis contexts (half of which are girls) require our urgent support in access to quality education.
In Afghanistan An entire generation of girls has systematically denied their right to education, and therefore deliberately disintegrated. About 2.5 million Afghan girls are outside school today according to Unesco. It is 2.5 million people have denied their right to develop and their ability to help rebuild a nation that has suffered too long.
This week, a new feature film entitled ‘Rule Breakers’ Underlines the stories of hope, courage and resilience of the Robotics team for Afghan girls. In real life, the world champion of ECW Somaya Faruqi led this team to victory in competitions around the world. Today, she has joined a long list of main world defenders to call on leaders to listen to #Afghangirls Divices and call a return to equality and equal access to quality education for all girls and women of Afghanistan.
Education is also fundamental to demanding and protecting human rights. Today we commemorate on 30th anniversary of Beijing declaration and platform for actionA determining commitment to ensure human rights for women everywhere.
“Investing in formal and non -formal education and training for girls and women, with its exceptionally high social and economic yield, turned out to be one of the best ways to achieve sustainable development and economic growth which is both supported and sustainable.” ~ Beijing declaration and platform for action.
Education is the most important investment of everyone: quality education for each girl means the empowerment of each woman. It is not a shortcut or an inaccessible dream. Education is the path.
