Dr. N.Krishna Reddy, who led operations as president in Asia, the Middle East and North Africa, was named chief executive officer. At the same time, the organization welcomes to its board of directors,
Dr. Sten VermundAnna MR Lauder Professor of Public Health at Yale University and a leading figure in pediatric medicine and infectious disease epidemiology.
This transition follows the leadership of Dr. William Haseltine, Founding CEO and Chairman, who will continue his valuable contributions as Chairman. Dr. Reddy’s elevation to CEO marks a significant milestone in his illustrious healthcare career and tenure at ACCESS Health International. As a distinguished senior cardiologist, Dr. Reddy has championed the cause of high-quality healthcare that is both affordable and accessible. His leadership has been instrumental in fostering collaborations, driving innovations and expanding the organization’s presence across Asia. Notably, he co-founded CARE Hospitals in 1997, a chain of tertiary care establishments spread across six Indian states. His entrepreneurial acumen and clinical expertise have been instrumental in developing ACCESS Health’s vision and strategies.

His groundbreaking research on HIV/AIDS, sexually transmitted infections and, more recently, COVID-19, highlights his commitment to the fight against infectious diseases. Additionally, Dr. Vermund’s innovative work on HIV-HPV interactions has catalyzed policy changes and inspired global health initiatives, making him an invaluable asset to ACCESS Health International.
