Demonstrating the success of multilateralism and inclusion, the UAE Consensus set the world on a clear path, setting ambitious targets to enable the world to reach net zero by 2050, as well as triple renewable energy and to double energy efficiency by 2030. Through the COP28 In the presidency’s action program, climate action has been catalyzed through the following pillars: accelerating a just and orderly energy transition; improve climate finance to make it more available, affordable and accessible; focus on people, nature, life and livelihoods; and foster full inclusiveness in climate action. In partnership with the United States, the UAE also launched the global Agriculture Innovation Mission for Climate (AIM for Climate/AIM4C) initiative and committed to investing in 16 billion dollars in climate-smart agriculture and food systems to improve agriculture and food security.
