SINGAPORE – Media OutReach – September 7, 2023 – Chubb today announced the appointment of two leaders of its general insurance business in Singapore. Effective immediately, Jerry Ng will assume the role of Head of the Consumer and Banking Division, and Eric Kwan will serve as both Head of the Property and Casualty Division (P&C) and Head of Independent Channel Partners (IDP). Both leaders will report to Hng Keng Yoong, Chubb’s country president in Singapore.
In addition to his current role as divisional head of bancassurance, Mr Ng will now also be responsible for Chubb Singapore’s consumer businesses, comprising the Accident & Health (A&H) and International Personal Lines (IPL) businesses. In this dual role, Mr. Ng will be responsible for the overall success of the consumer business and will focus on driving new partnerships and digital initiatives to support the division’s growth objectives.
In his new role as head of IDP, Mr. Kwan will have overall responsibility for the company’s distribution strategy and production through local agency and broker partners. He will retain his current responsibilities as P&C Division Manager and continue to leverage opportunities to optimize and improve service delivery to Chubb’s channel partners.

Mr. Ng has over 30 years of sales and marketing experience. Prior to joining Chubb in 2019, he was Senior Vice President and Head of Regional Bancassurance at a local insurance company in Singapore.
Mr. Kwan has nearly 25 years of industry experience, during which he has held several leadership positions across various business segments and key distribution channels. Prior to joining Chubb in 2019, he was Head of P&C Insurance at a local insurance company in Singapore.
