HONG KONG SAR – Media OutReach Newswire – February 7, 2024 – To celebrate the Year of the Dragon, the “Auspicious Dragon Blessings” event at tmtplaza, under the leadership of Hong Kong Sino Group, features a festive decoration of a flying dragon made from over 38,000 biodegradable rubber balloons. Famous local balloon artist Pang Sze Tai Wilson, a two-time winner of the World Balloon Convention, was specially invited to lead the creation of this work alongside his teacher, Taiwanese artist Ho Kun-Lung, of the Shandong artist Qu Xusheng and students from City University of Hong Kong Balloon Art Club and Lee Wai Lee Methodist College, highlight the spirit of heritage and innovation through balloon art to present traditional Chinese culture. The success of this effort resulted in the Guinness World Record for “Largest Dragon Balloon Sculpture” being successfully broken.
The balloon dragon, handcrafted by renowned Hong Kong balloon artist Pang Sze Tai Wilson, is made from more than 38,000 biodegradable rubber balloons.
Until February 18, 2024, the majestic flying golden dragon adorns the tmtplaza atrium. Every detail, including the horns, whiskers and eyeballs, has been meticulously crafted, bringing the dragon to life in a breathtaking way. This grand exhibition symbolizes the prosperous new year ahead, showcasing the artistry and elegance of balloon sculpture.
