Vietnam is seeking to purchase the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine to inoculate children aged between 12 and 18, according to Minister of Health Nguyen Thanh Long. Long made the announcement during separate working sessions with the Ambassadors of Australia, France, and Switzerland in Hanoi on June 8. A French man in Hanoi was found renting a 3,000-square-meter plot on a Red River islet to grow hundreds of cannabis plants, police stated Tuesday. Frederic Tiberghien, 55, currently works for a company in the northern Yen Bai Province, according to police of Long Bien District. Authorities last Saturday discovered around 100 cannabis plants on the islet, alongside a stash of dry weed. Vietnam confirmed 55 more Covid-19 infections as of Tuesday evening, raising the daily counts to 175 and the total number of patients in the country to 9,158 the Ministry of Health has reported.
