Recently, Apple has gone into the complete details of their products that should not be mixed with medical devices. Apart from that, the usual gadgets have magnets and they should be kept away from the latter.
According to the Cupertino giant, those electronic devices with magnets and electromagnetic fields might interrupt the performance of the medical devices. For instance, defibrillators and pacemakers rely on magnets and radios. The sensors are dependent on these tools.
In the previous study by the American Heart Association (AHA), the Apple Magsafe Technology should be contained for an ideal distance since it could interfere with the cardiac implantable devices.
“To avoid any potential interactions with these types of medical devices, keep your Apple product a safe distance away from your medical device (more than 6 inches / 15 cm apart or more than 12 inches / 30 cm apart if wirelessly charging),” Apple said.

In January, a team from Henry Ford Heart and Vascular Institute conducted an experiment involving an Apple product, In particular, what the researchers used was the iPhone 12. The smartphone was put over the patient’s heart. The patient has a cardioverter-defibrillator.
According to the findings, the capabilities of the medical device were hampered during the process. This has opened more issues about the impact of it on the equipment in the medical field. AHA, for instance, made use of the iPhone 12 Pro Max which was discovered to be highly susceptible to magnetism.

Restrictions Not Limited to Apple Products
From what MacRumors reported over the weekend, the Cupertino titan did not identify the specifics of the lineup for the iPhone family. There is a support article that talks about the new lineup of smartphones. According to it, the presence of more magnets is seen in the latest models.
The restrictions do not cover only Apple products. Other gadgets like headphones and radios should also not be used near a medical device. These tools are known to contain magnets, as well.
