Aon plc (NYSE: AON), a leading global professional services firm, today announced that Jeff Plein has been named Chief Operating Officer (COO) for the Asia Pacific region, effective September 11.
Plein will report to Mindy Simon, global operations director, and Anne Corona, managing director of Asia Pacific. He is based in Singapore and joins the Aon Asia Pacific Executive Committee and the Aon Business Services global leadership team.

Plein succeeds Bill Hooper, who has been named global COO of Commercial Risk Solutions, for which he will move to the UK later this year.

Plein joins Aon from Citibank, where he worked since 2018 as managing director and head of securities services operations for Asia Pacific. He previously held senior management positions at Fullerton Fund Management, BlackRock and Pacific Investment Management Company.
