Fornebu, Norway,, February 13, 2025 / Prnewswire / – Aker Carbon Capture Asa (ACC), an Aker Horizons Portfolio company, announced today that the Board of Directors of ACC had proposed an extraordinary dividend of Quite 3.5 billionof which Aker Horizons should receive approximately Quite 1.5 billion On the basis of his property of 43.27% in ACC.
In June 2024ACC and SLB have announced the completion of a transaction combining their carbon capture companies in a joint venture (JV), since renamed SLB Capturi. ACC retains a 20% stake in JV and SLB holds the remaining 80%. ACC reserved a gain on the sale of Quite 4.9 billion in his consolidated accounts.
In the future, ACC, thanks to its property in SLB Capturi, will continue to support the development of the carbon capture activity of SLB Capturi. The cash position remaining in the ACC following the proposed dividend distribution will allow the ACC to maintain a sufficiently robust assessment to fulfill its role and its responsibilities as a minority owner of SLB Capturi, and will support the exposure to the remaining PR-RATA guarantee for the projects awarded before the training of the JV.
The cash dividend proposed by ACC is, among other things, subject to approval by an extraordinary general meeting in the ACC, which should be held March 7, 2025. Please refer to AC’s ad for more details.
