BEIJING, December 14, 2024 /PRNewswire/ — Twenty-five years after his return to China, Macau is booming. To celebrate the anniversary of this historic event, CCTV4 produced a five-part documentary, “25 Years of Lotus Bond: A Story of Unity and Progress”.
In five 30-minute episodes, the documentary explores how, over the last quarter of a century, Macau actively integrated into China overall development through the successful application of the principle “One country, two systems” with Macau features. It paints a vivid picture of the progress the region has made in the political, economic, cultural, social and livelihood fields. It also highlights President Xi’s concern for the people of Macau and the advice he gave to his governance.
Together, the five parts – “Love of Homeland”, “The Path to Diversification”, “A Taste of Happiness”, “Integrated City” and “Gateway to the Future” – become a celebration of connections ever narrower between Macau and the homeland.
The documentary’s theme song, “Gateway to the Future,” is a collaboration between prominent musicians from the Chinese mainland and Macau wishing the region a better future.
“25 Years of Lotus Bond: A Story of Unity and Progress” will be broadcast daily on CCTV-1, CCTV-13 and CCTV-4, starting December 13.
