SHANGHAI, April 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — From March 25 to 27, 2026, the China International Hydrogen Congress & Expo 2026 (CIHC 2026), organized by the China Hydrogen Alliance and the China Electricity Council, kicked off with great fanfare in Beijing. The event brought together more than 500 companies from 14 countries and regions around the world.
SHPT publicly introduced its next-generation fuel cell products and new solution series, attracting wide attention from all industries. On the opening day of the exhibition, Mr. POON Kwok Ying, Director of the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department (EMSD), Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, along with other officials, visited the SHPT booth. China Central Television (CCTV) reporters covered the company’s major technologies on-site; an in-depth interview was featured in Finance Studio on China Media Group Mobile, garnering over 1.045 million views online. The stand welcomed a steady stream of overseas customers and domestic visitors, with lively discussions and inquiries throughout.
Start of new generation: SHPT’s robust strengths meet diverse market demands
As another landmark innovative product from SHPT, the PROME M5H fuel cell and PROME P5H fuel cell system directly address the existing problems of products in the 200-300 kW power segment in real-world applications. Delivering substantial improvements over the previous generation, the products show a nearly 15% increase in rated efficiency, while volumetric rated power density and durability have both increased by approximately 50%, achieving advanced global standards. Scheduled for mass production in the fourth quarter of 2026, the new offerings will provide more powerful and efficient hydrogen fueling solutions for medium- and heavy-duty long-haul trucks. They will further improve life cycle economics, support the development of hydrogen highways and corridors during China’s 15th Five-Year Plan period, and expand to other application scenarios including stationary power generation, mining trucks, railway locomotives and ships.
Start of a new series: SHPT’s UAV and two-wheeler solutions are fully launched
Following the successful deployment of several integrated fuel cell power generation solutions, SHPT has launched into new areas covering drones and two-wheelers. The company is further focused on reducing costs and improving efficiency to deliver greater value to customers.
The F-Series fuel cell system — a hydrogen-powered solution enabling greater cruising range for drones — is rated at 6 kW and adopts a closed-cathode air-cooled architecture. With a mass power density of ≥630 W/kg, it reaches an industry-leading level, significantly increasing operational efficiency. The product meets the application demands for large-scale equipment inspection, logistics transportation, fire emergency response, etc. The product is also suitable for forklifts and small power generation equipment. To date, the F Series has been delivered for projects including photovoltaic inspection and material transportation.
A hydrogen power solution that keeps two-wheelers running cost-effectively — SHPT’s R-Series Fuel Cell System: Rated at 300W and adopting a closed-cathode air-cooled architecture, it has a power density well above the industry average. The R300 system entered the mass production stage at the end of 2025. The hydrogen two-wheelers equipped with the R series have a maximum speed of 25 km/h, a total vehicle weight of less than 55 kilograms, and a range of more than 100 kilometers, which are suitable for shared rental, express logistics, food delivery, personal travel and other scenarios.
Throughout the three-day exhibition, SHPT fully demonstrated its technological advancements, product innovation capabilities and proven strengths in application deployment. With strong technical expertise, the company lays a solid foundation for China to build the comprehensive national “1+N+X” hydrogen energy application ecosystem during the 15th Five-Year Plan period, while paving the way for further expansion into overseas markets. The booth attracted potential partners from South Korea, Turkey, Romania, Slovakia, Vietnam, Finland, France, Sweden and other countries, who came for in-depth business discussions and cooperation negotiations.
