MALACCA CITY, Malaysia, October 12, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — The Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE) and Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM), in collaboration with Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS), will host the Malaysia International Students Meet 2025 (MAGNET’25). It is an annual event organized by the Ministry of Higher Education to bring together international students and institutions, and aims to be one of the largest gatherings of international students ever held in Malaysia.
This year, the event, which will take place in Dataran Pahlawan, Melaka, is expected to welcome over 1,000 international students from tertiary institutions across the country, participating and joining forces in activities aimed at enriching their study experience in Malaysia.
It aims to celebrate Malaysia’s multicultural diversity and foster meaningful connections within the international student community. The event will also feature the launch of the Malaysia Edutourism Gateway (MEG), which will be graced by YB Dato’ Seri Diraja Dr. Zambry Abd Kadir, Minister of Higher Education, Malaysia.
MAGNET’25 will feature a variety of engaging programs including a heritage trail, over 20 national concept stalls hosted by participating universities, cultural performances and interactive activities showcasing Malaysia’s vibrant culture and inclusive environment. Visitors can also look forward to fun experiences such as the Malaysia Edutourism stall, Batik Canting and interview sessions with Malaysia Study Ambassador students. The event is open to the public, inviting everyone to join in the excitement, with exciting activities and raffled prizes awaiting participants.
Through initiatives such as MAGNET’25, Malaysia continues to strengthen its position as a global education hub, in line with its aspiration to become the preferred educational destination for international students around the world.
