Vietnam Health ministry confirmed 5,367 new local Covid-19 cases Sunday, down 110 cases from previous day, pushing the ongoing wave’s tally to 803,994. Domestic flights officially resumed on October 1 in localities with relaxed COVID-19 prevention and control measures. Traffic regulation plan post-lockdown in HCMC has been finalized. According to the proposal, buses, taxis, and contract passenger cars with under nine seats can resume operation with limited capacity in HCMC from Oct. 5. The heath ministry confirmed 5,490 new cases of COVID-19 in Vietnam on Saturday, down 1,464 compared to Friday and the lowest daily increase the country has seen in the past month.
