For many, headphones are an inseparable companion to their phone. However, headphones come in all shapes and sizes and we were curious which type is your favorite. Smartphone makers have pushed True Wireless (TWS) headsets, but are they really the best option? In-ear headphones are hard to beat when it comes to sound quality. They’re also great for keeping distracting noise at bay, even without active noise cancellation. And they have the best battery life to boot. However, their size and weight mean they aren’t the most practical choice for many use cases. We have recently reviewed many helmets TWS…

Over 70% of people who voted in last week’s poll are interested in the vivo X60 Pro + – this is a very positive result, given that some recent flagships have struggled to excite potential buyers. The allure of the Pro + centers around the camera and vivo knows it. The ZEISS logo, no matter how small, stands out against the black camera bump and you’ll see it on every promotional poster. By Văn Giá My friend and I were taking a leisurely walk one day just recently along a path in Dọi Village in the northern province of Sơn La, the immense fields of white plum flowers, dotted with the light pink of peach blossoms and pretty yellow of sunflowers, uplifting our souls. We then came across a group of local ethnic Black Thai women, who were putting on make-up and chatting in front of a house. DRESSED UP: Villagers now wear Western clothes when getting married. By Trần Hoàng Nam The Việt Nam Circus Federation has recently celebrated its 65th anniversary, presenting an occasion for those involved in the entertaining art to take a look back over its history and development. “Documents say that in the early 20th century, modern circus troupes from China, Japan, the UK, Mexico, the Philippines and India began performing in Việt Nam,” according to historian Lê Văn Lan. Following the widespread appearance of these Western circus troupes, a number of Vietnamese troupes were put together and began performing regularly. Illustration by Trịnh Lập Among the first…

By Bảo Hoa, Vân Nguyễn & Kiều Trinh Located on Quang Trung Street in Hà Nội’s outlying district of Hà Đông, from the outside house number 106 looks just like any other dwelling in the area. But take a step inside and you’ll be blown away by the natural light and fresh ventilation. “CH House”, as it’s called by its architects, is 35 metres long and just four metres wide, and one of the many typical long, narrow “tube houses” found around the dense streets of Việt Nam’s capital. But it was designed in…

by Hoàng Vân Anh Ngoặm started out around a year ago, selling burgers online to raise funds for charity. I first heard of them when attending a “slider” festival at Melting Pot Hanoi, where they presented three different mini burgers and won the “best slider” award. The patties were so fresh and flavourful we kept going back to their booth to buy more. From Day 1, though Ngoặm’s owners never planned for it to be the serious endeavour it has since become, they have continually shown an inventiveness with their menu and flavour combinations. Their…

To say that the Xiaomi Mi A3 has had some bad luck with its software updates would be an honest understatement. Granted, the Chinese giant has historically struggled a bit more over the software of its Android One device in general, but even by those standards the four huge attempts it took to bring Android 10 to the Mi A3 are a little tough. They have now been followed by no less than three versions of Android 11 in quick succession. At the very end of last year, Mi A3 users got their first OTA from Android 11, and many…
