Earlier this month Xiaomi started rolling out the Android 11 stable update for the Mi 10T and Mi 10T Pro, now their sibling Mi 10T Lite 5G is joining the party with a release on the Global Stable channel. This means that the Mi 10i 5G, which is essentially the same phone, is also expected to receive the OTA update soon.
This update – V12.0.2.0.RJSMIXM – pushes the Android version up to 11, however, MIUI remains at version 12.0. MIUI 12.5 is coming to the device, the official schedule shows it will arrive at the end of the second quarter.

Anyway, let’s go back to the current update. Its changelog is pretty terse – you get Android 11, the January security patch, and “increased system security” (without further details).
If your phone doesn’t see the update yet, you can download it manually from here. It’s a pretty heavy 2.5GB firmware, so you’d better take this opportunity to back up your data while waiting for the download to finish.
By the way, the Redmi 10X 4G receives a similar update in China – MIUI 12.0 stable based on Android 11. The Redmi Note 9 is based on the 10X 4G, but so far there is no sign of deployment. global for this particular update.
