West Brom has officially fired Slaven Bilic and confirmed the news on their website. Besides, the club sent to the Croatian coach a thank you letter for his contribution to their promotion to the English Premier League.
In an announcement, West Brom said that they fired Slaven Bilic after a bad beginning for the club. After 13 rounds of the English Premier League, West Brom dropped to the 19th position in the relegation zone. Though Slaven Bilic was the promotion hero of the city, he left the club with such a bad streak.
Bilic and his team only won one game in a total of 13 games. The side only got 7 points and with that result, it was convincing why West Brom decided to step forward without Bilic.
Assistant Coaches, Dean Računica and Danilo Butorović, and First Team Coach Julian Dicks also left the club immediately after the departure of the Croatian coach. Bilic was a hero at West Brom in summer when he and his staff helped the team come back to the English Premier League after 2 years of waiting.
West Brom admitted that they would not provide any further comments. The Baggies has some candidates for the position of Bilic, and one of them is Sam Allardyce who has already retired and not really willing to come back. Besides “Big Sam”, West Brom also considers Mark Hughes and Nigel Pearson. No conversation between West Brom and their replacing candidates have been made yet. And we still have to wait for further notice.
