The park has 3.4 hectares of water surface and the rest includes a square, a courtyard for the organization of cultural exchange events, sports and community activities.
It is also equipped with intelligent lighting system, bridges and water spray systems.

5 km from Ngoc Thuy is Long Bien Park, which covers 16 hectares and costs 94 billion VND.
The park has five gates and none of them have barriers.
The new park is renovated from an old degraded park.
The renovation includes restoration work on the 50,000 m² lake with a new dike, construction of new roads and planting of new trees.

According to the Hanoi Construction Department, the city currently has 63 parks and flower gardens, covering a total area of around 300 hectares, or 2% of the total land area.
