Two women were thrown from an overpass in the central province of Thanh Hoa on Monday and died after their motorbike was hit head-on by a car.
Nguyen Thi Lan Anh and Dam Thi Van, both 24, were riding motorbikes on the Phu Son Viaduct in Thanh Hoa when a five-seater car encroached from the opposite direction and hit them.

The collision threw the women to the ground approximately 5 m below. Both died of serious injuries.
Initial investigations suggest that the car was involved. The driver of the car, Nguyen Quy Giap, 40, tested negative for alcohol.
Phu Son is one of the busiest viaducts in Thanh Hoa.
