Biden suggests that his time as the president will be “time to heal”. The new president is calling for the power of unifying.
The 46th president described himself as a leader who would unify a bleeding America. The U.S. has been gripped by the global pandemic and the racial collision. In one of his speeches, Biden suggested that he would not seek to divide.
“I sought this office to restore the soul of America,” Biden said in a prime-time victory speech not far from his Delaware home, “and to make America respected around the world again and to unite us here at home.”
Although Trump denied conceding against the Democrat, Biden said that the former president should “give each other a chance.” Nonetheless, Trump and his lawyers declared a legal action against Joe Biden. The former president believed that the counting process was against him.
Ignored that fact, Biden continued his victory celebration and promised a better future for the U.S.
“It’s time to put away the harsh rhetoric, to lower the temperature, to see each other again, to listen to each other again, to make progress, we must stop treating our opponents as our enemy,” Biden said. “We are not enemies. We are Americans.”
The victory of Biden is a repudiation against Trump’s divisive and unskillful leadership. During Trump’s presidency time, the U.S. has suffered from racial division, global pandemic, and economic crisis with China. The famous celebrity did not show that he had the leadership to walk the U.S. through these challenges. Perhaps, it is why he has received the defeat in the election battle.
Biden was the youngest Senate of the U.S., and he was also the vice president during Obama’s presidency time. Throughout his political career, Biden participated in the presidential election three times, and last night was the first time of his career, Biden won an election. Besides the victory of Biden, the White House welcomed the new vice president to the workplace, Kamala Harris.
In the victory celebration, Harris introduced that Biden was the president of all Americans. As the vice president, she would support Biden to heal “the American soul.”
“Dream with ambition, lead with conviction and see yourselves in a way that others may not simply because they’ve never seen it before,” Harris told Americans. “You chose hope and unity, decency, science, and, yes, truth … you ushered in a new day for America.”

Nevertheless, Trump said that he did not give up yet.
The former president was the first one to lose the reelection since the Republican George H.W. Bush in 1992. Trump believed that he should have won the election, and the counting process was a fraud against him. On Twitter, he wrote. “I WON THE ELECTION, GOT 71,000,000 LEGAL VOTES.”
Trump was in a golf club in Virginia when he lost the race and the Republican came back to the White House earlier yesterday in an unfriendly atmosphere. Welcoming him was cold and ignoring gestures.
During the debate with Biden, Trump refused a peaceful transfer of power. In the history of the U.S., Trump was the exceptional case of denying the peaceful transfer of power. In 1800, Joe Adams conceded against his rival Thomas Jefferson in peace.
After all, Joe Biden is taking after the White House in a chaotic period. The U.S. was deeply divided after the death of George Floyd and the confluence of the global pandemic. The 46th president will have the mission to tame the virus and heal the divisive soul of the U.S. Challenges and missions are awaiting Joe Biden, and he would have so many things to do.
The Amtrak Joe is on a more difficult track than the distance between Washington and Wilmington. But his former boss, Barack Obama, believed that the guy was ready for this challenge .“Fortunate that Joe’s got what it takes to be President and already carries himself that way,” Obama said.
