The year 2020 is the strange year of everything but not for the team from Washington state. Seattle Sounders once again made it to the Audi MLS Cup playoffs.
The consistency, brilliance, and success that Seattle Sounders have shown in the last 12 years of their existence is simply remarkable. There is no other word to describe the success of the Sounders but magical and amazing. Seattle Sounders once again made it to the Audi MLS Cup playoffs, and it was the 12 consecutive times participating in the Audi MLS Cup. In order to make it to the playoff, Sounders has accomplished their 15 victories in a row at Lumen Field (now known as Century Link Field).
On Dec. 12, the Sounders takes on Columbus Crew SC at MAPFRE Stadium in a fixture of the Audi MLS Cup playoffs.
Sounders’ success makes some of their rivalries a bit jealous, especially it is a down season for some clubs. While the other struggled, Sounders continued their consistency and got a ticket to the MLS Cup playoffs. In the previous three seasons of the MLS Cup, Sounders made it to the final three times and won two of them.
All of the success that Sounders currently enjoys thanks to the powerful and remarkable of the attacking trio: Jordan Morris, Nico Lodeiro, and Raul Ruidiaz.

Every Jordan Morris is healthy, he would be the inevitable option of Sounders’ starting-11 squad. Morris has only missed the MLS Cup final of 2018 when he struggled with an ACL injury. In three playoff seasons, Morris has scored a total of 6 goals, assisted 3 times, and participated in 15 playoff matches.
That performance of Morris is firing, but Lodeiro even showed better-assisting stats than his American fellow. The former star of Ajax Amsterdam broke the record of Carlos Ruiz made in Audi MLS Cup when he involved in the last 8 goals of the Sounders.
And it is irresistible not to talk about the outstanding Raul Ruidiaz. 9 goals in the playoffs over the last 3 years showed the class of Ruidiaz. Carlos Vela and Josef Martinez might worth the discussion more often, but when it comes to decisive moments, Ruidiaz showed a better accuracy.
Sounders made it to the playoffs once again, but like it has been said earlier, the Sounders did it with such a wonderful consistency.
