After being unveiled in November of last year, the Galaxy A12 is finally coming to India. According to a recent report, this should have happened already this week. As that did not happen, we can only assume that the phone will appear on county shelves any day.
A suspected spec sheet for the local Galaxy A12 variant has now surfaced, hinting at an imminent release. If the leaked table is to be believed, Samsung won’t be modifying the hardware of the Galaxy A12 at all. The only notable detail is that the Indian version will only be available with 4GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of storage. A theory reinforced by India’s official support page for the handset, which was also recently released.

The source also adds that the Indian Galaxy A12 will be sold in the colors blue, white and black, leaving out the red. Apart from that, the Galaxy A12 still packs a 6.5 “HD +, Infinity-V, IPS display, MediaTek Helio P35 chipset and is powered by a large 5000mAh battery, with 15W charging via Type- C. The camera setup includes a 48MP main snapper on the rear, alongside an ultra-wide 5MP, 2MP depth, and 2MP and 8MP macro units on the front. a side-mounted fingerprint reader added to the mix.
We still don’t have official information on pricing and availability, but the particular leak of that information offers what appears to be a very plausible estimate – INR 12,999 or around $ 180. It will also be quite interesting to see if Samsung decides to wait and release the Galaxy A12 alongside the Galaxy F62, which is currently slated for an unveiling in mid-February.
