Quincy Promes was a key player of Ajax Amsterdam, but the Dutchman will miss the upcoming fixtures of the defending champion of Eredivisie since he was arrested. The Dutch star was revealed to have involved in an alleged stabbing incident and will not be able to train with Ajax.
De Telegraaf of Holland reported that the stabbing happened at Abcoude, just south of Amsterdam, at a family reunion hosted by Promes. The newspaper described that Promes was arguing with a relative before stabbing this person.
Ajax refused to say anything about this incident of Promes and admitted that the status of their star is worrisome. However, Ajax remained to be silent and said that it would be premature to comment anything.
“It is therefore too premature to say anything about it from Ajax,” Ajax’s representative said on Fox Sports.
Lawyer of Promes confessed that his client is very collaborative and ready to work with the police. Promes will follow the instruction of authority and serve the investigation deeply. Promes’ lawyer released that his client was not on the site when the incident broke out.
“Promes was not on site at the time of the incident,” he said. “Promes is fully cooperating with the investigation.”
