Manchester United and RB Leipzig have big competition for themselves ahead when both teams will fight for their qualification to the next stage of the UEFA Champions League.
There is only one ticket for two teams, and both Manchester United and RB Leipzig have to do their best in the upcoming showcase. The English side will have more advantage than their German opponent since Manchester United currently is in first place in Group H. Manchester United only needs a draw in the upcoming display in order to qualify for the next round, but for Leipzig, they have no option to choose from but to win the match.
About the squad, Leipzig eventually will not have the service of two defenders – Dayot Upamecano and Lukas Klostermann – for different reasons. Upamecano has received enough yellow cards and he will be banned for 1 match, while Klostermann apparently has suffered from a knee injury and his comeback is not indicated yet. Konrad Laimer and Benjamin Henrichs will not be able to display for Leipzig as well because of injury. On the other hand, RB Leipzig will have the service from most of their best players in the upcoming showcase.
Likely to their opponent, Manchester United announced that they would not have the service of Edison Cavani and Anthony Martial because of injury. However, the Red Devils say welcome back to Luke Shaw and Eric Baily who have been sitting out for a while because of injury. Probably, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will use the defenders duo in the upcoming clash against Leipzig, especially Shaw.
It is not going to be a surprise if Solskjaer implemented Shaw in the starting-11 squad as a left center back. Since Manchester United is not heading to Red Bull Arena this Wednesday for a winning, playing safe and playing with a high defending intensity might be an option that Solskjaer picks. In the previous showcase against Leipzig, Manchester United has ironically won a margin of 5 goals with a high defending intensity squad. Potentially, the same squad that has won in Old Trafford will be used in the travel to Germany.
Marcus Rashford was the brightest star in the first leg in England, and this time, he is still the one to put faith in. Though Rashford is not highly rated as a consistent striker, he knows how to shine in a big game. The match against Leipzig will be a challenge for Rashford, but in the previous showcase, the former wonderkid scored 3 goals for his side. It is not clear that if Rashford can score in this display or not, but for sure he is the one that RB Leipzig has to be careful with.
Contrastingly, Manchester United will also have to be careful with Leipzig’s Angelino. The Spaniard scored 4 goals and assisted 2 times for his team so far even though he is a defender. Leipzig will also be more powerful when they play in their home ground Red Bull Arena. In the previous 2 showcases in the Red Bull Arena stadium in UEFA Champions League, Leipzig has won both of them, including the display against PSG.
It will be a tough fight for both teams, but there is only one qualified ticket for the most deserved one. RB Leipzig has the home ground advantage, but Manchester United has the goals and concedes advantage which is a decisive key for the qualification. Even a drawn result can make the Devils become qualify for the next stage of the UEFA Champions League.
Nonetheless, RB Leipzig has won PSG at the home stadium, and they totally can do the same thing with Manchester United. The German Bull is ready to create a bad day for the visiting team.
Prediction: Manchester United 1-2 RB Leipzig
