Manchester United surpassed Sheffield United thanks to Rashford

Manchester United recently overcame Sheffield United in a tough fight that ended with a final result of 3-2. The Red Devils surpassed the Blades thanks to the goals of Marcus Rashford.

It was a nightmarish display for Manchester United, but they luckily grabbed three points from Sheffield United thanks to their home-growth talent Marcus Rashford.

Anthony Martial, Mason Greenwood, and Marcus Rashford all started in the showcase against the Blades, but only Rashford and Martial could show their class. Firstly, he scored the equalizer for Manchester United in the 26th minute. And then, it was Martial who uplifted the margin for Manchester United in the 33th minute.

Though Manchester United suffered from an early goal caused by mistake of goalkeeper Dean Henderson, they got the leading advantage before the half time thanks to Rashford and Martial.

Manchester United continued to attack with high pressure in the second half of the match, and they got the third goal in the 51st minute. Rashford once again was the scorer for Red Devils. The visiting team got a goal after a beautiful set piece in the midfield created by Paul Pogba.

The Frenchman set up a beautiful counter attack with a compass twist and then a correct pass to the destination of Bruno Fernandes. The ball then came to Martial who assisted the goal to Rashford in the end.

Perhaps it was the end, but Sheffield United refused to give up easily. They kept fighting until the end of the match, and the home team got a second in the 87th minute. Sadly, it was not enough to save a point at home for the Blades.

Thanks to this victory, Manchester United joined the top 6 of the English Premier League while Sheffield United remained to be in the relegation zone of the English Premier League.
