Manchester United got a big win of 9-0 against Southampton last night.
Manchester United crashed Southampton completely with a tremendous win of 9-0 last night. The Saints were completely in conservative situation after losing two players because of conceding red cards. Meanwhile, the red side of Manchester had a good match, totally controlled the game and ultimately grabbed three points with a shockingly big victory. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said that his side showed a glimpse of magic last night.
Anthony Martial scored the opening goal for Manchester United before seven players of the Red Devils picked up goals. The former winner of English Premier League 2013 later on squeezed out Southampton like a piece of lemon after the Saints’ midfielder Alexandre Jankewitz was sent off after just 2 minutes.
This victory gave Manchester United advantage for the trophy race, and they are currently on the top with Manchester City. It was the second time after 15 months that Southampton conceded another loss of a margin of 9 goals. Ralph Hasenhüttl promised that his team would come back, but remained to feel sad about this deficit.
For Red Devils, it was the second time they scored 9 goals against an opponent. The last time they did it was against Ipswich Town in the season 1995. Despite having a big win, Solskjaer refused to be overconfident. He described that the first goal led to a big win in the end. Solsa explained that even with 10 men, if Southampton decided to stay low in defense and play safe, a draw could happen.
The Norwegian coach said that players of Manchester United was able to show their magic and they deserved this victory. Also, the coach of the Red Devils added that confidence was important for the whole team in getting this win.

Jankewitz, who received the first red card of this match, made his English Premier League debut for Southampton last night. The midfielder conceded a straight red card after a bad move on the thigh of United’s Scott McTominay. In the 86th minute, Polish defender Jan Bednarek was also sent off for tripping Martial in the box. With only 9 men on the field, the Saints could not create magic but to accept a nightmarish loss.

About McTominay, Solsa said that he was glad not to hear any bad news about the Scottish midfielder.
