Even though Leicester City was graded as a better team than Fulham, they suffered from a defeat by the London side.
Leicester City and Fulham showcase was not supposed to be that attractive and thrilling, but the London side knew how to turned a seemingly easy display of Leicester into a nightmarish battle. After 90 minutes in King Power stadium, the former winner of English Premier League (EPL) 2016 lost against Fulham.
The London side fought hard right from the beginning minutes of the match, and they were the team that got the lead when they scored at the 30th minute. Fulham expanded their score in the minute 38th thanks to a penalty kick of Ivan Cavaleiro. Beforehand, Cavaleiro rarely took the penalty kicks for his side. But Scott Parker allowed the player to have the penalty kick privilege.
“I asked him in training if he would take the penalty and he looked me deadpan in the eye and said: ‘Yes, I’m ready,’” Parker said. “The courage to step up after everything that was probably said about him, those are the moments you need. This was a massive win for us, really something we can use to push forward.”
According to the Guardian.

As well as the score on the board, Fulham showed a strong performance on the ground and negated the power of Leicester City’s attacking. Ademola Lookman opened the scoring for the visiting team before Cavailero sealed the leading for his side. It was Harvey Barnes who got a late goal for the home team, but it is not enough for Leicester to overturn the final result.
In the end, it was the third consecutive lost of Leicester City in the previous 5 home games of the club.
Fulham arrived at King Power’s stadium with a long streak of losing the league matches, but after all, the London side left the city of Leicester with a winning. In the two upcoming fixtures, Fulham will face Manchester City and Liverpool respectively, and those two giants need to watch out for the club. They are a smaller club, but not a modest challenger.
