Justine Bieber has gifted us all with a new romantic tune and its accompanying motivational music video on New Year’s Day. The 26-year-old singer released “Anyone”, and it’s surely making it way to our hearts.
In the music video, Justin Bieber is training as a boxer, ditching his shirt to show a tattoo-free body, lifting weights and throwing punches on the beach. He has fictional lady love-shash-cheerleader, played by Zoey Deutch, on the side.
“If you ever move on without me, I need to makes sure you know/ That you are the only one I’ll ever love/ Yeah you, if it’s not you, it’s not anyone/ Looking back on my life, you’re the only good I’ve ever done.”
After seemingly being knocked out in his final match of the video, Bieber gains the strength to stand and take out his opponent — after which he proudly holds up his title belt and shares a kiss with Deutch.
“Anyone” is directed by Colin Tilley. Less than 24 hours after its release, the music video already amassed more than 6 million views.
Justin Bieber first performed the “Anyone” during his New Year’s Eve livestream concert Thursday.
“I can’t think of a better way to close out 2020 and kick off 2021 than celebrating with my fans all over the world and sharing this new music with them. Music has gotten us all through so much this year, and for me personally it’s been healing and transformative,” the singer said in a statement prior to the concert.
Justin Bieber added that “Anyone” is a special, hopeful and anthemic song, setting the tone for brighter new year that’s full of hope and possibilities.
Hailey, Justin’s wife, was the first person to show love for the new music, taking to her Instagram stories to praise Justin’s new hit.
“I love this song so so much,” she wrote, adding of Justin’s co-star Deutch, “Also need to just say @zoeydeutch is a gigantic ray of sunshine and so incredibly talented. You are my queen!!!”
Justin and Hailey rang in the new year together, both enjoying his show and also dressing up in their formal wear to celebrate the arrival of 2021. Hailey shared a snap of herself in a black YSL minidress with her hubby in a suit with a backwards black baseball cap, writing, “Happy New Year.”
