Frank Lampard said that it was crazy to play just two games in 48 hours, but his team is about to do so when Chelsea clashes against Aston Villa in the upcoming match of Tuesday.
Chelsea lost in the previous showcase against Arsenal in the Boxing Day match, and the game against Aston Villa will be a good chance for the Blues to get 3 points – things that will help them climb into the top 5 of the English Premier League.
Ironically, Aston Villa is ranked at a higher position than the West London side. The team from Birmingham city is at the 7th position respectively followed by Chelsea. Both teams have 25 points and which side wins in the upcoming match will have a big chance to jump into the top 5 of the English Premier League.
Though the Villa is ranked at the higher position, Chelsea is assumed to have a stronger squad and a better opportunity to cash in a victory.
But the Blues will have a decent amount of changes to make in order to get themselves back on the winning track. Frank Lampard said that some of his players did not follow the basics of his tactics, and the English coach could make plenty of changes in the upcoming match of Chelsea.
“We lacked energy. We are in a position in the last four games of losing three and only winning one. So that needs a reaction,” Lampard said in the press conference prior to the match against Aston Villa.
It is also an emotional reunion between Lampard and his former beloved captain John Terry, as his side meets Aston Villa in the upcoming round of the English Premier League.
Last year, Chelsea barely struggled when the met the Birmingham city representative. However, things changed this season, and Chelsea can absolutely struggle with Aston Villa badly.
The West London team will have full service of their best squad and according to Lampard, he would consider some changes for his team. Probably, Timo Werner can be taken off in the next match of The Blues, same thing is expected for players such as Reece James.

Meanwhile, Aston Villa will not change that much, perhaps keeping the same formation that helped them overcome Crystal Palace in the previous round of the English Premier League. The Birmingham city side will not have the service of Wesley, John McGinn, and Matt Target, but they will have the remaining healthy and qualified player to combat against Chelsea.
Chelsea will need to be careful with the counter attack from their opponent, and it will be a crucial thing that can change the entire flow of the match. On the other hand, the Blue can rely on the intelligent visionary from their midfield to score a goal. It will not be a surprise if Kai Havertz starts the next game of Chelsea alongside Mason Mount in the midfield.
