A man died on Sunday while waiting to pick up his child outside an education center in the southern province of Binh Duong, when a car hit him and others.
Around 5 p.m., a group of parents were waiting on their motorbikes outside the Thu Dau Mot town center when the four-seater car jumped the sidewalk and hit them.
Five motorcycles were thrown over a distance of 20 meters. Four people were injured while Tran Van Long, 60, died instantly.
Witnesses said the car’s driver, Huynh Thanh Bang, appeared drunk when he got out of the vehicle after the crash.
Police said his alcohol level was 0.186 mg per liter.
Bang, 49, is under arrest for further investigation.
