Authorities in the central city of Da Nang said tourism activities had been halted on the Son Tra peninsula until further notice due to landslide risks following prolonged heavy rains.
Swimming on the beaches is also prohibited.
Nguyen Duc Vu, responsible for managing the peninsula and tourist beaches, said all roads to Son Tra have been blocked to ensure safety.
The central region has been hit by heavy rains in recent days due to a low pressure area in the East Sea, leading to severe flooding and landslides.
Many neighborhoods in Da Nang were flooded over the weekend, some with 1.5m of water, plunging daily life into chaos.
Heavy showers are expected to continue until Tuesday, with up to 400mm of rain forecast.
The Son Tra Peninsula, 10 km northeast of Da Nang, is home to luxury resorts and Buddhist spiritual sites such as Linh Ung Pagoda near the sea.
