The only element that has been completed in this future park is a concrete road.
Ho Chi Minh City has around 400 parks, including public parks and those located in residential areas, with over 235,000 trees.
The total area planned for the city’s greenery exceeds 11,400 hectares, the equivalent of 7 m² per person, but the actual space is significantly less, at around 500 hectares.
With a population of around 10 million, green space per capita in the city only remains 0.55 m².
The city aims to increase public parks by 150 hectares by 2025, which will require the implementation of at least 54 projects with an estimated investment of more than VND9 trillion.
However, to date only eight projects have either been completed or are being proposed for investment procedures.
