If you think you’ve gotten all your Christmas presents already, you’re wrong – our Captain America, Chris Evans, just posted a video of himself playing a piano!
On Saturday, Evans shared a video on Instagram in which he plays a festive tune on the piano for the holidays.
“Merry Christmas,” he captioned the first half of the clip.
The 39-year-old actor can be seen wearing a NASA black cap and sitting next to a Christmas tree as he hits the piano keys for his roughly 7.9 million followers on Instagram.
“Wishing you a happy and healthy new year,” reads the caption in the second half.
The actor played the piano earnestly throughout, and toward the end, he looked up and smiled at the camera.
The videos Evans posted may just be relatively short, with just 24 seconds. But it was long enough to showcase Evans’ musical skills. And definitely long enough to make all Captain American fans smile…okay, squeal.
This is not the first time we’ve seen the actor play the piano. He also shared a video of himself playing the keys during Thanksgiving week.
On November 24, Chris Evans posted, “Learning one of my favorites by Fabrizio Paterlini. The actor was wearing a navy blue cable knit sweater.
Italian composer Paterlini even reacted to Chris playing his music. He tweeted, “Something in the air tells me that today is the day in which @ChrisEvans played one of my songs.”
Chris Evans previously told Men’s Journal that he has been playing piano since he was young and also can play the guitar. He’s able to “fake it” on the drums.
Evans and his brother, Scott, keep posting videos of themselves pranking each other, much to the delight of their fans. Their “tradition” continued on Christmas.
The actor earlier this year starred in the crime drama miniseries Defending Jacob that premiered in April on the Apple TV+ streaming service. Defending Jacob was based on the 2012 novel of the same name by William Landay.
As announced earlier this month, Chris Evans will also be the voice behind Buzz Lightyear in a Pixar origin story movie about the Toy Story character due to be released tin 2022.
