Miss Grand International 2021 Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien has publicly denied recent speculation that she is part of a prostitution ring.

“The rumors are not true,” Tien wrote on his Facebook page on Tuesday. “The police investigated and concluded that I have no connection to this matter. [prostitution] ring.”
Speculation about the beauty queen’s connection to a prostitution ring arose when makeup artist Huynh Thanh Thuan was indicted earlier this month for running such a ring.
Photos of Tien and Thuan later surfaced on the internet, sparking allegations that the two knew each other in real life and that Tien may have been part of Thuan’s network.
In response to the allegations, Tien said the photos released were taken in 2019. She said using photos taken four years ago to accuse her of being part of Thuan’s crime was “baseless” .
As a makeup artist, Thuan has worked with many celebrities, including her, the beauty queen claimed.
She therefore warned those who spread rumors about the consequences of “public manipulation”, saying that she and her management agency have worked with the authorities to resolve the issues of cyberbullying against her.
Tien, 24, was crowned Miss Grand International 2021 in Bangkok, making her the first Vietnamese woman to win the beauty pageant.
She recently won an appeal case against her, in which she was accused of owing VND1.5 billion ($62,000) to a local businesswoman.
