Xiaomi has released an official teardown video for its new global flagship, the Mi 11. The video highlights key specs as much as it gives a detailed look at the build of the phone. No need to take out your Xiaomi precision screwdriver set, just press play. Naturally, the video has been edited so that everything is smooth and transparent. That said, it seems like the battery does come off easily – there’s no excessive amount of glue to keep you from swapping it out. And although the screen is very curved, it’s also proving to be quite easy to…

The Realme Narzo 30 Pro seems to have been listed at TENAA, specifically the RMX3161 model. It is an Android 11 phone with a 6.5 inch screen and 5G connectivity (with two SIM cards). The screen can be the same size as the Narzo 20 Pro, but the battery is larger, 4880mAh. There’s no word on charging speed yet (the 20 Pro supported 65W charging). Despite the extra battery capacity, the handset is actually thinner – it measures 162.5 x 74.8 x 8.8mm. Realme RMX3161, probably the Narzo 30 Pro There is a triple camera on the back of the…

Samsung’s Galaxy S21 series is selling 30% better than its Galaxy S20 series predecessors in South Korea. A report from Nikkei Asia suggests that Apple and TSMC are both working on advanced OLED displays for its supposed AR and VR devices. The hardware is currently in the testing phase at Apple’s office in Longtan Science Park, near TSMC’s test plant in the region. There are a few takeaways from the report. First, the OLED panels will be built using TSMC’s current chip production equipment and will not require such a large investment in R&D. Second, the OLED displays will be integrated directly on the chip for improved efficiency and to save internal space. Finally, Apple reportedly hired…
The Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro have been on the market for less than a month and are already getting their first discount. Normally $ 200, the flagship TWS headphones are down 15% to $ 170 via Woot. Additionally, Amazon Prime customers will benefit from free shipping. All three color options are discounted. Unfortunately for those who live outside of the United States, there doesn’t seem to be a deal. Worse still, European prices are a bit higher at 230 €. The Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro combine a naturally isolated in-ear design with active noise cancellation. Their two speakers promise impressive…
We thought the days when phones were submerged in water on YouTube were a long way behind us, as IP68 has become a standard feature for all flagship devices. However, the chain Owl Time Lapse Photo took things to another level by leaving a fully functioning Samsung Galaxy S21 in a water tank for 12 days. Additionally, the video has been posted on YouTube and the experiment is almost complete at the time of writing. There are three updates to the description of the video indicating that the humidity sensing feature is on and the screen has started to misbehave…
A Reddit user shared a long article explaining how iOS 14 might retain your user data even after removing certain data collection apps. He gave an example with 9gag but the behavior is probably not limited to it. It found user data stored on the local keychain and used again after you reinstall the app. The discovery was made after removing and then installing the 9gag app, which did not prompt any credentials requests and automatically logs you in. The stored data is here to stay even if you don’t sync with iCloud Keychain and the only way to get…
