The injuries storm continued to harm the Liverpool squad as the Scotland captain, Andy Robertson, recently joined the injury list.
Andy Robertson, captain of the Scotland national team, is the latest injury case of Liverpool. Beforehand, Liverpool also received bad news from Jordan Henderson-the captain player. The Englishman suffered from muscular tightness and was withdrawn in the UEFA Nations League match between England and Belgium. Totally, the defending English Premier League champion got 11 players on the injury list.
Previously, Liverpool recalled Joe Gomez from the national training camp because of a knee injury. Unfortunately, they will also have to play the upcoming English Premier League without their irreplaceable left-back, Andy Robertson. Liverpool will have to use players from the youth academy, potentially, James Milner will accompany these players in the defense. In the past, James Milner has also played as a defender for Liverpool a few times.
About the injury of Jordan Henderson, Gareth Southgate-the boss of the England team said. “Jordan had a bit of tightness at half-time and felt he couldn’t carry on.”

While his captain got a problem with tightness, Robertson struggled with hamstring pain. The player got his hamstring hurt after a collision in the European Championship qualification game against Serbia. Robertson only revealed his pain after accomplishing a victory.
Robertson admitted his injury in the post-match interview.
“I think I was next or seventh [in the penalty order] but my hamstring seized up,” Robertson said. “Then in the second half of extra-time I had a bit of cramp, it was my left one as well so I was just a bit worried it was going to cramp up.”
Liverpool right now has no back-up plan for their defense since Fabinho, Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Virgil Van Dijk has already suffered from desperate pain and won’t be back soon. Jurgen Klopp will have so many things to do, and let’s hope that the German coach figured out a solution.
