AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT restock spotted online for $1,926.30! Although the price is still quite steep, this is actually an improvement from the previous $2,004.29. When thinking about the total price slash, it might not be that big. However, around $78 is still quite an amount.

    Restock Prices Start Soaring

With three major factors affecting the prices of certain in-demand electronics like the PS5, the Xbox Series X, and certain PC parts, regular buyers are left with two options, purchase the electronics at scalper prices or wait for new stock to be available at SRP. The problem is, GPUs haven’t been selling at their GPU for quite a while.

For a significantly long time now, scalpers have been jacking up the prices of graphics cards, especially that of the AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT. According to the official AMD pricing, the GPU is supposed to cost just $999. Although the AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT SRP is already steep enough, scalper jacked up prices make it even harder for regular buyers to purchase the GPUs.

Despite already jacked up prices, the best thing buyers can do as of the moment is to follow restock trackers online. As of the moment, however, even following restock trackers might still not give buyers GPUs at good prices.

A particular stock tracker on Twitter just spotted a PowerColor Red Devil AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT selling for $1,926.30. Although the price is still quite steep, this is still considered an improvement compared to the previous AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT restock which reportedly sold for $2,004.29.

GPU Condition to Remain the Same Until 2023

The situation has been made worse with no luck for the ongoing global chip shortage. The expectation is that the global chip shortage will continue well into 2023 with manufacturers struggling to keep up with the massive demand.

Another thing that has been greatly affecting the supply of GPUs is not only gamers are buying them. GPUs actually have another massive market to cater to. Aside from gamers trying to build PCs, Bitcoin miners have also been making it hard to buy the GPU.

    Cryptocurrency GPU Prices

GPUs are being used to mine cryptocurrency due to how they can provide the sufficient hashrate needed to mine cryptocurrency. One thing that PC builders might be tempted to do as of the moment is to buy used GPUs from cryptominers that might have been overused.

Although this might allow buyers to get GPUs at more affordable prices, an article by HowToGeek argues that it really depends on the buyers and the condition of the GPU. It would also be ideal for buyers to assess the GPU before purchasing it. There could be need for replacement on certain parts but this really depends on the condition of the GPU.
