The post was deleted shortly after being shared on Friday, as reported Nate.
“I have already apologized to Hyeri, but it remains unclear whether she has acknowledged it,” Han’s message read. “What’s the cool thing about someone’s ex getting into a new relationship?”
It is believed that Han’s remarks were a response to an Instagram post from Lee, which contained the phrase “How interesting” and was posted online after Han and Ryu’s relationship was publicly acknowledged on March 16. The confirmation of Ryu’s new relationship and Lee’s post led to allegations that Han had disrupted Ryu and Lee’s previous eight-year relationship.
Han further emphasized her non-involvement in Ryu and Lee’s past relationship in her Friday post by reaffirming that Ryu initiated a new relationship with her only four months after his breakup with Lee.
“I can no longer stand these unjustified allegations,” she said. “He didn’t end his relationship with her because of me.”
“I am disappointed that someone directly involved in this matter remains silent,” she added.
Additionally, she expressed frustration over the unfair treatment she perceives from the public, who criticized her for smiling and wearing a ring at the airport on March 18 upon returning to South Korea from Hawaii , where she and Ryu vacationed.
Asked for their views, Han’s management agency, 9ato Entertainment, said: “We have no comments, but we sincerely apologize.”
Lee also chose to remain silent on the matter.
Han had previously faced allegations attributing her as the reason for Ryu and Lee’s separation, clarifying that her relationship with Ryu only began after she was informed of their breakup in June last year.
However, this clarification sparked more skepticism and disapproval among online communities, who pointed out the lack of any formal disclosure about Ryu and Lee’s breakup in June last year. Some members of online communities have suggested that the announcement of Ryu and Lee’s separation was actually made in November last year, raising questions about the accuracy of Han’s statements.
Facing backlash, Han deleted the negative remarks from his blog and has since limited his public appearances.
Meanwhile, Ryu was criticized for not speaking out about the controversy.
Han, 30, received widespread praise for her role in the 2020 South Korean television series “The World of the Married” and is recognized for her resemblance to esteemed actress Song Hye Kyo. She has established herself as an important figure in the film industry.
Ryu, 38, rose to fame through his performance in the South Korean television series “Reply 1988,” where he starred alongside his former partner Lee. He maintained a presence in the theater industry and also ventured into business ventures.
