It was a tough fight for both side, perhaps, both Manchester United and Leicester City desperately wanted to earn 3 points on the Boxing Day.

Manchester United displayed a strange formation for this match. Having showcased the formation of 3-4-1-2, Manchester United deemed to have a high pressure test for Leicester City at the very first minutes of the match.

And they actually could score a goal with the high pressure plan.

The Red Devils nearly succeeded a goal in the second minute. A good pass from Bruno Fernandes put Marcus Rashford in a clear shot for goal. Sadly, it was such a waste from Rashford. He was few steps near a goal but finally thousand miles away from it.

Leicester then had a respond right away, but Jamie Vardy – alike to his English fellow Rashford – could not cash in the shot.

After the early pressure, both teams were back with a balanced flow.

But then a good set piece helped Manchester side break the balance. The opening goal came after a set piece between Anthony Martial, Daniel James, Bruno Fernandes, and the finisher of it – Rashford. A good attempt of Fernandes put the Englishman in good spot, and unlike the first time, this shot of Rashford found the back of the net perfectly.

It was 1-0 for the Red Devils at the 23rd minute, and the visiting team got the advantage.

The home team did not give up, immediately had a reply at the 25th minute, but Jamie Vardy of Leicester was too lonely to cause any critical damage. A balance flow of the first 20 minutes then came back.

That flow remained to the 30th minute. But from out of nowhere, Harvey Barnes equalized the result for the home team. A good left-footed clinical finishing of the Englishman gave David de Gea no chance of saving. It was 1-1 for both team, and the heat of the match was pushed higher from then.

Manchester United once again pushed the pressure high in order to score the second goal. In the 35th minute, Manchester United nearly got what they wished for. Unfortunately, another chance was wasted, and Fernandes was the one missing that shot.

The rest of the first half observed no more pressure situation. The ending result of the first half was 1-1.

About 15 minutes of the second half passed, balance between two teams were preserved, but Man United got more chance. The Red Devils could do more, but no goals were scored.

Nonetheless, the equalization was broken by Bruno Fernandes. A goal chance created by Edison Cavani and Fernandes cashed in the shot. The result was 2-1, and Manchester United got the advantage again. But it did not take that long for Leicester to equalize the result.

It was 2-2 for both sides at the 82th minute.

The late game minutes were stressful. Both team wanted to score late goals to accomplish a victory. But a drawn result was sealed.

What a match for both team, but in the end, the points were separated equally for two sides.
