Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi, located at 15 Ngo Quyen Street, Hoan Kiem district, is the oldest hotel in the capital, dating back to its establishment in 1901.
Nightly rates published by the hotel range from 10 million to 40 million VND ($400 to $1,600). However, the legendary sequel alone costs VND170 million ($6,870). Guests staying in these exclusive rooms enjoy top-notch service, including assistance from a personal butler.
Currently, this is the most expensive hotel room in Vietnam. Most other accommodations with similarly high rates, ranging from 100 million VND or more, are mainly found in beach and riverside resorts.
The hotel consists of two main buildings: the Heritage Wing, located on the corner of Ngo Quyen and Le Phung Hieu streets (photo), built between 1901 and 1908, as well as the Opera Wing, added in 1992.
