Xiaomi likes to show off concept phones every now and then, the latest being the September 2019 Mi Mix Alpha. Today we take a look at another kind of curved screen that melts in all four corners from top to bottom. bottom and left. to the right. Xiaomi calls it an 88-degree Hyper Quadruple Display and it’s the most extreme form of a curved display we’ve seen to date.
The concept device has no physical ports or buttons. The new screen actually comes with four rounded cutouts in the corners which are probably there to deter unwanted touches from the palm. Another interesting choice is the positioning of the status bar at the top right.

Note that the promotional images and videos only show renderings and not an actual device, although Xiaomi representatives have confirmed The edge that there is a real prototype with the new curved hyper quadruple screen. It’s unclear when or if we’ll see a commercially available phone with Xiaomi’s new quad-curved panel anytime soon.
