introduction
The Xiaomi Mi 11 went official three days before the long-awaited end of 2020. And while the new year was not the harbinger of the change we wanted, the Mi 11 is the spearhead of flagship products. of the next generation, and we are researching before its release.
Well, the world debut was a few weeks after the Chinese premiere, and the international version of the Xiaomi Mi 11 is here now. It’s the first smartphone (announced) with the latest Snapdragon 888 chip, but it’s much more.
The Mi 11 brings many significant updates over the Mi 10. It features a new, larger 6.81-inch AMOLED display with a higher 1440p resolution and a faster 120Hz refresh rate. supports HDR10 + and its peak brightness is impressive at 1500 nits. Another native 10-bit color support allows the Mi 11 to display up to 1 billion colors.
We mentioned the new Snapdragon 888 chip, but that’s no surprise – everyone expects the latest high-end smartphone to come with the best hardware available. And usually, a new display and SoC is enough for an upgrade.
The Mi 11 appears to be packing the same camera gear as the Mi 10, although Xiaomi has added a few new video tips to the bag for those who want to create trendy movies with Hollywood-style effects. The 108MP primary, 13MP ultra-wide, and 20MP selfie snappers appear to be removed from the Mi 10 with minor changes, but the macro camera has been updated with a high-resolution 5MP sensor with autofocus and 48mm macro lens.

The battery has seen some improvement as well – although it is a tad smaller (4600mAh vs. 4760mAh), it has been split into two parts, which is why it can be recharged quickly both wired and wireless. at 55W and 50W respectively. Xiaomi even gives you the right GaN 55W charger for it.
The Mi 11 has an updated stereo speaker system which has been tuned by Harman / Kardon for the maximum experience. The speakers were also found to be waterproof, and while the phone doesn’t have an official IP rating, that’s a pretty good sign.

Unpacking the Xiaomi Mi 11
The Mi 11 was supposed to be the company’s first smartphone to be packaged in a box without a charger. But unlike Samsung, Xiaomi’s plans appear to have been derailed by pressure from its users.
Now in Asian markets the phone will come with the new slim box without charger. But don’t worry, Xiaomi allows you to request a charger with your Mi 11 order if you want one, and you will receive the GaN 55W adapter for free.
Meanwhile, the rest of the world is getting this 55W GaN charger by default in the retail box. We have the European version of the Mi 11 here, and it comes packed in a full size paper box.
In addition to the 55W charger and the Mi 11, it also contains a rated 6A USB-C-to-A cable and a transparent silicone case.

We almost missed the last item in the retail bundle: it’s a USB-C to 3.5mm adapter for your favorite wired headphones. It was hidden in a small paper pouch. It’s been quite a while since we last saw such an accessory.
Xiaomi also sells this beautiful Pixel-style fabric case, which looks and feels premium. Chinese translation on the back says it is imitation and made of PU + PC and indeed everything on this case is plastic, even fibers. But it doesn’t seem cheap at all, on the contrary.
