One of the most exciting aspects of the upcoming vivo iQOO Neo5, as suggested by earlier rumors, was certainly the prospect of 88W wired charging, potentially even backed up by 66W of wireless on a more budget device, which would sell for between CNY2,998 and CNY3,598 (around $ 464 and $ 572). Unfortunately, a new 3C rectification list, along with a live photo of the phone’s charger, seems to put this to rest.

3C certification
Apparently some numbers got mixed up originally as 3C’s data clearly indicated that the iQOO Neo5, also known by its model number V2055A, will be able to charge at 66W, via a V6650L0A0-CN charger. No mention of wireless charging either. However, there is still a chance that the phone can support it.
To corroborate the information, a tracking photo of the phone box and the included “FlashCharge 66W” charger also surfaced, courtesy of Digital Chat Station. The Leaker also claims that this power rate is enough to deliver a full charge to the iQOO Neo5 in 30 minutes. As far as we know from previous data, the battery inside the handset is expected to be 4.4000mAh. Not too shabby, although not recording.

As for the other alleged specs of the handset, we expect a Snapdragon 870 chipset, with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variants are also expected. Thanks to an earlier live photo, we also got a glimpse of the front of the phone, as well as a teardrop-shaped notch that’s supposed to house a 16MP selfie camera. The panel itself is expected to be AMOLED, with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz.
Rounding out the list of rumored specs, we’ve got a Sony IMX598 48MP main camera on the back, alongside a 13MP ultra-wide device and 2MP unit, for a total of three. The vivo iQOO Neo5 is expected to boot a custom Origin operating system, based on Android 11.

We even have preliminary pricing information. The base 8GB / 128GB variant is expected to sell for around 2998 CNY ($ 460), 8GB / 256GB around 3298 CNY ($ 510) and the top 12GB / 256GB version is expected to sell for around 3598. CNY (550 USD). These are of course all Chinese and unconfirmed prices.
