“VinFast President” is the last in the series of four cars model produced by VinFast, the previous versions are Fadil, LUX A2. 0 and SA2. 0.
Vinfast President is considered a “breath of fresh air” in the Vietnamese luxury SUV segment. The President is the special car of Vinfast, and the brand will only produce 500 units of this car and specifically for the Vietnamese market. From the beginning of its launching, the first 100 customers ordering this car will get a special price of VND 3.8 billion, significantly lower than the actual price of VND 4.6 billion.
About the exterior, the appearance of Vinfast car was designed by Pininfarina. VinFast President was originally based on the prototype Lux SA2.0. Therefore, the design of the “President” has no significant change comparing to its predecessor. However, Vietnamese car manufacturers also have innovated some important details to make the car look outstanding. The President has added a bonnet with an air intake in the middle as similar to high-end sports cars, slim headlights run around a V-shaped grille, golden “VinFast” and “President” logo on the tailgate, small details such as the bumper, wheels, window line, roof rails also painted golden contrasting to the whole black part of the car. Depending on the customers, “VinFast President” offers 18 exterior paint colors, such as Gold, Copper, Gun Metal, Metalic Silver on additive details.
About the interior, besides the comfort of the driver seat, passenger seats have also added to itself the massage, heating, and ventilation features. Additionally, the second row of seats becomes more spacious with an increase of 20 cm comparing to the Lux SA2.0. Luxury Nappa leather from Eagle Ottawa and Veneer wood trim made from Italia is used. The pattern of wood varies by car. The cabin space is equipped with some premium features such as a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch touch-screen connecting to the phone, and premium audio with 13 high-end speakers.
The front seats can be adjusted in 14 ways helping the driver and the passengers easily find the most comfortable sitting position. The chassis of the car is also developed relying on European standards which prevent outside noise effectively.
“VinFast President” is powered by a GM-sourced 6.2-liter V8 providing 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft (624 Nm) of torque. The car could reach the speed of 62 mph (100km/h) within 6.8 seconds and maximize at 186 mph (300 km/h) with the help of eight-speed automatic transmission and permanent four-wheel drive.
Along with the high speed, the model of the car also equipped with top safe factors, such as a brake assist system, electronic brake-force distribution, electronic stability control, traction control system, hill mode descent control, blind-spot warning, or a 360 camera system around the car.
“President is a product line showing the high class and quality of VinFast, it is also our conformation of the ability of production in Vietnam”, Deputy General Director, Nguyen Thi Van Anh, said.
According to experts, VinFast has a tendency to produce a top President car model, large cars equipped with advanced technologies to serve the wealth in Vietnam. “They have the ambition to bring their SUV into the group of high-end luxury cars, along with well-known brands such as Lexus LX570, Mercedes GLS or BMW X7”, the experts said.
“VinFast President” was exhibited at several showrooms across Vietnam from Sep 7, 2020. Customers could take a visit, experience, and order products. Right now, the product is still being hunted by rich men in Vietnam.
