Telegram v7.4.0 is now making its way to Android and iOS users and offers the ability to migrate chat history from other messaging apps like WhatsApp, Line, and KakaoTalk. The move comes after WhatsApp’s controversial privacy policy change to share user data with Facebook, which has led millions of users to jump ship and switch to other platforms like Telegram. The new chat transfer feature works for both individual and group chats.

Other additions in Telegram v7.4.0 include more chat deletion options with options to delete chats and calls from both sides as well as group deletion for all participating members. Voice chats now have the ability to adjust volume levels individually for all participants and you can also fast forward and rewind the music playback speed in the built-in audio player.
Other Android-specific additions include new animations and greeting stickers. It is also possible to report fake channels and groups that pose as celebrities or organizations. There are also improvements for accessibility users with TalkBack and VoiceOver.
