Businessman Bryan Johnson, known for having spent millions of dollars on anti-aging, has confirmed he halted his plasma exchange experiment due to a lack of visible age reversing effects.
Fortune reported earlier this week that Johnson said he saw “no [anti-aging] benefits” after undergoing a fluid test checking his biometrics.
Johnson, who has reportedly spent a hefty amount of money on reversing his aging process, held “the world’s first multigenerational plasma exchange” earlier this year, in which he had his 17-year-old son’s plasma injected into his body. Johnson also had his plasma injected into his 70 year old father.

This unusual treatment was proposed to weaken age-related brain decline.
The underlying rationale seemed to be confirmed in a 2019 research published in the American Chemical Society publications, which reported that older mice showed signs of brain cells, muscles, and tissues regeneration after having the blood of their younger counterparts transferred to their bodies. However, there is no proof of the same effects in humans.
Even after discontinuing his plasma swap experiment, Johnson still has much to pursue in his fight against aging. It is reported that the tech mogul has also been spending $2 million a year on a regimen that aims to keep his body parts functioning like a teenager, according to The New York Post.
This regimen includes intensive daily exercises, a strict vegan diet that counts exactly 1,977 calories a day, and an unusual schedule of eating nothing after 11 am
Johnson, 46, is the founder, chairman, and CEO of various technology companies and venture capital firms, including Braintree, a company that specializes in developing mobile and web payment systems for ecommerce companies, which he sold to financial technology giant PayPal in 2013 for $800 million.
