Gaming has evolved from a few simple arcade titles to a vast, interactive universe that rivals the real world in immersion and collaboration. Today, players step into the game world and feel the physical space around them change through AR and VR. And the evolution of gaming is far from complete: as the industry grows and technology advances, new hardware and software releases like POGR push the boundaries of possibilities.
POGR is a next-gen statistic platform for gamers and developers that aims to unite the gaming community by bridging the gap between consumer and distributor. It achieves this feat by merging a player’s gaming presence into a single profile that is used throughout their online experience. A gamer no longer needs to record their performance in different games by ejecting and inserting titles and consoles; POGR has streamlined the sense of personal game success.
The organization boasts a host of impressive features, such as the POGR player profile, which showcases achievements and skills on a custom gaming landing page. The player has full control over the linked accounts, stats shown and enabled visuals. Through POGR’s data analytics service, players can choose whether to enable comparisons for casual or competitive purposes. Casual comparison matches profiles to friends and members of the online community, and competitive comparison matches profiles to a POGR-exclusive competitive network. The network authenticates users through their “identify” process, which protects gamertags and limits impersonation.
There’s also the POGR World League, which introduces a new approach to global competition. This global tournament system pulls directly from regional tournaments hosted around the world to make local results globally accessible. Players participate in events across the spectrum of professional gaming and can instantly compare their results against the results of the world’s top players. Local, national and international gaming organizations have never seen this level of unity before, and it will all be thanks to automated POGR processes.

POGR develops the latest data analysis and feedback tools and combines them with other technologies to better understand gaming habits, help players overcome their weaknesses and enable unprecedented personal growth. The service goes even beyond gaming and sets a precedent for related industries such as sports technology and blockchain technologies.
The brains behind the operation is Connor Ellison, CEO; Randolph Aarseth, CTO; and Juno Kim, CPO. The trio reports that POGR was born out of a desire to create the ultimate player profile. They note that in their travels as gamers, they wished there was a network to explore the growing gaming world, connect with friends, and compare stats. To make their wish come true, they spent their time designing and creating a product that helped developers and increased their interaction with players. Their goal is to revolutionize the way developers and gamers understand and interact.

The platform’s unique approach has helped it attract massive attention from early investors. POGR launched in the middle of a recession, but raised $2.25 million in seed funding with Venturerock in July last year. POGR also made the top 10 of the LA Techweek Hackathon by applying their analytics engine to help homelessness in Los Angeles. Some games are even launched through the player profile network, including the survival thriller Last of Humanity. Downloading the game will give players early access to the player profile system.
POGR came together because gamers wanted to build a profile system that followed their gaming journey, a lifetime of gaming instead of a single match. Whether esports or casual, the next generation of gaming innovation will be powered by data. POGR will be the foundation to unlock its full potential.
